Vision: To serve the Oklahoma City metro area by providing best-practiced, community services and integrated programs, through collaborative partnerships. Partnerships that promote education, social, cultural, business, and civic opportunities for youth, communities, and families.

HISTORY
2011 - State incorporated as Tradesman Mentoring Program, a collaborative mentoring program with Oklahoma County Juvenile Bureau adjudicated youth.
2012 - Mentoring grew and became STAAR Resources Agency.
2013 - Filed for and received 501 c3 status with the IRS added a second gender-specific mentoring program called SISTERS Mentoring, amended organization name to STAAR Foundation for greater community impact.
2014 - Headquartered inside Oak Grove Community Head Start Building, established Hispanic Integration Services.
2015 - Established Adult GED & ESL classes at Oak Grove Head Start.
2016 - Started a tutoring program for elementary school students.
2017 - Held 1st Annual Community Coat Drive for apartment residents.
2018 - Reinforced the tutoring program, partnering with Scholastic Reading adding more literacy programs with support and involvement of community parents.
2019 - Current STAAR Foundation partners with First Step Men’s Recovery by implementing the best practices 100-Hour re-entry Life Skills program.
2020 and Beyond- Expanding our organization's mission and impact across the State of Oklahoma. Scale our organization to full-time status, as practitioners, providing best practices curriculum to both justice-involved youth and adults.
